UAE job seeker guide, part two

UAE job seeker guide, part two

Salary negotiation

One of the most important topics that indicates the applicant’s professionalism is negotiation of the salary and it may be favorable for those with expertise in the Emirates and negotiation depends on a number of key points through which you can request the appropriate salary for you, and I would like to point out that some companies offer the salary with job requirements Within the advertisement, and often these companies do not agree to an increase in the offered salary in addition to government institutions
The experiences of the applicant for the position in the country.
The number of languages he can speak.
The name and size of the company applying to it.
The type of company, whether governmental or private.
The salaries received by the company's employees and those working in the same department.

Offer letter

The new employee who passed the job interviews is always granted to sign a preliminary work contract with the company and the employee and differs from the final contract that is in the gears of the "Labor Office", and the value of salary, allowances and work times (number of hours) is shown in the initial contract. Air tickets, annual salary increase, or all the details that pertain to the job. Some times the initial contract is sent via email to the person if he is in his home country if he passes all the interviews. Here are some points that must be taken into consideration when signing a preliminary work contract in the UAE:
The terms of the initial contract must be well reviewed because the final contract will be similar to it.
Any verbal agreement is considered non-binding, so it must be sure to include all what was agreed upon.
All companies are legally obligated to grant employees an annual leave for employees.
All companies are legally obligated to provide medical insurance to employees
It is required to change any items that have not been agreed upon so that they are not added to the final contract.
It is preferable to add an item for qualification and training by the company, especially for those who do not have much experience.
You should pay close attention if there are penal (financial) conditions in case the contract is not completed.

After Set - Change Status

The first steps after signing the work contract with the company in the Emirates and receiving the electronic work visa (previously red) The person must change the case from "visitor" to "resident" in the official institutions in the country and add the visa to the passport via one of the following steps:
Exit and return by going to "Iran" or "Oman" to change the visa is the option followed by most workers in the country due to the availability of tickets at a reduced value and the speed of the procedure so that the person can go and return within hours.
Exit and return by going home.
Pay a fee of about 500 dirhams to change the situation within the country
It all depends on the procedures followed in the company in addition to Ray PRO (the person who specializes in work office procedures)
Probation period
The first two weeks of work is the most important period for employee evaluation.
The evaluation shall be by the supervisor or the direct manager of the department.
The trial period ranges from (one month) to (6 months) as a maximum
The employee and the company are bound by all the terms of the contract as obligations and rights between the two parties.
The company must provide the necessary qualification to the employee if it is stipulated in the contract.
The evaluation mainly depends on the employee’s commitment to work schedules and its integration into the company’s environment, in addition to the level of his communication with his colleagues.
Some contracts do not include a trial period, especially if the person is competent and experienced.

Work with FreeZone Free Zones companies

Working with the free zone companies is a dream for many workers in the country due to the advantages it provides and the procedures for changing the work in addition to the fact that most contracts for free zone companies have been for a period of (one year) only unlike the regular companies whose contract is for a period of (two years) and we would like to point out here The new labor law in the UAE has made most employment contracts (indefinite in duration) enabling the employee to change his job with a year and enables the company to lay off the employee after a year

without penal terms, there are more than 38 free zones operating in the United Arab Emirates. For example :
Dubai Media City.
Dubai Internet city.
Dubai Healthcare City.
Dubai Airport Free Zone.
Abu Dhabi Airport Free Zone.
Knowledge Village.
Dubai Academic City.
Dubai International Financial Center.
Dubai Silicon City.
Fujairah Free Zone.
Hamriyah Free Zone.
Khalifa Port and Industrial Zone.
Twofour54 area

Living :

It is much better to live in Ras Al Khaimah, Ajman and Sharjah than housing in Dubai or Abu Dhabi due to the low value of the housing rent, but many prefer to live in Dubai to avoid the troubles of going and returning, and congestion, especially in peak hours. As the journey takes from Dubai to Ajman For example, in off-peak hours, between two hours to an hour and a half, but if the road is clear on the day of the holiday, it may arrive in less than 40 minutes.
In the following lines the distance in kilometers and time (in ideal conditions and in the case of driving in a private car) between the cities of the United Arab Emirates:
